Natalie Gamble talks to FTL about surrogacy

It was well worth the wait to hear Natalie Gamble speak at our September Zoom meeting.  Below is a synopsis of Natalie’s career to date.  It was so inspiring to hear how passionate she is about the law as it stands at the moment relating to becoming parents when you are LGBT+ and also how to proceed down that rocky road, navigating the best way for our children to have children of their own.

The recording of the meeting gives a full and very frank account of both the law and surrogacy.

Natalie is the founder of specialist fertility law firm NGA Law and non-profit surrogacy agency Brilliant Beginnings, and a passionate advocate and campaigner for LGBT+ parents.  Widely known as the UK’s leading fertility lawyer, she has been pivotal in much of the change in LGBT family creation law over the last 15 years and has helped to shape it through published legal cases and lobbying work. Natalie is a regular voice on the BBC Radio 4 Today programme and Woman’s Hour and has been quoted in Parliament, written for the Guardian, ranked in the Independent’s Pink List, invited to meet the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street and nominated for Stonewall’s Hero of the Year Award. She chairs the UK and Ireland LGBT+ Family Law Institute, and speaks regularly at national and international events. She has two donor-conceived children as a same-sex parent, and has been an altruistic egg donor.
