FTL at Reynolds Performing Arts College

Earlier this year we were approached by Leyla Pellegrini who heads up the equality and diversity team at Reynolds Performing Arts College in Dartford.  The students had held a Pride ‘wear a rainbow’ event earlier this year and had collected a sum of money and chose FTL to donate this money to.  We were very touched by this and I thought that in return I would offer myself to give a talk later in the year to the students.  This happened in November and I was welcomed by this lovely group of students and their teacher Adam.  I was able to tell them all about myself and my family and also how Families Together London works.  After my talk and some questions from the group I sat in on the tutorial which Adam gave on homophobia.  It was a delightful afternoon and I handed out some of our FTL pens which apparently are a great hand-out.  They wanted more so I’ll rummage about in our store cupboard at Battersea and forward them on.  I left the college feeling very positive about how the group embraced all that we do at FTL.
