Funds raised from lunch on 11th November
For those of you who made it last Saturday you will know what an excellent lunch we had. Not just the food but the company, which to my mind is the most important thing at any gathering. We had such fun, such great conversations took place and so much love, which was tangible throughout the afternoon.
I think we had about 60 people attend and of those there were a number of ‘young’ ones. Yes, our grown up children. Does that make us the ‘oldies’!!
We were blessed to have a musician too. Stephane performed some of his own compositions and afterwards stayed on to enjoy the event.
Hatta arranged for the new MP for Wandsworth, Marsha De Cordova, to pay us a visit and she was able to meet a number of our members.
The raffle produced lots of ticket sales and two children, yes little children, pulled out the winning tickets. Many thanks to Freddie and Ben.
Of course an occasion like this is to, as I have said, eat and meet but because we are self-supporting we need to rely on you to help us keep going. Well, Mary our Treasurer, has just announced that we have made £943 profit. That should keep us going for a while.
So, thank you one and all for your support. Keep on dancing …….. no I mean ……… keep on coming!!
Warm wishes to you all.
